Vidalia Restaurant

This is a small town restaurant that behaves as if it was a Michelin-starred one. They called to confirm my OpenTable reservation, asking: "Inside or outside table?" After I said outside, they said: "Sorry, no outside table." Why did they ask?! When we arrived, we again asked for outside table, and was told none was available, even though many of them were sitting empty throughout our meal time, until we left. The appetizer of fried calamari was done well: perfectly crispy. The pasta, however, was overcooked and under-seasoned. Inside was small, and if you get a loud party, you won't be able to hear anything else. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Had my aunts 75th bday here. She was a customer for 20 years and they screwed the pooch. No manager on site for a big event which was set up wrong. To make matters worse, some guy was there copping an attitude and talking back. The servers on hand dealt with it well, but the lack of attention from the owners/managers was sad to say the least. Food was good.

My first time here and it was due to parking for another. The service, the food and ther price point is spot on. Highly recommended. This restaurant is BYOB, for which I will do.

We have been to this restaurant many times. Tonight was just AWEFUL!! we were seated given water and bread by the bus people. They said our server was delayed due to it being busy. We got there at 6pm and put in the OUTDOOR ROOM YOU WEREN’T BUSY!! Our server Claudia didn’t greet us For 15 MINUTES!! Totally unacceptable. Im an ex restaurant mgr. You should be seated,greeted and served within 5 MINUTES. We had wine that we wanted opened and that wasn’t happening. Our meals were mediocre to say the least. my husband was the driver and wanted iced tea. HOW DO YOU RUN OUT OF ICED TEA AT 6 Pm???After tonight I not sure we’ll return.

Very cozy and cool ambiance. It has a beautiful setting for a date and the waiters were top notch. I loved it and will recommend to anyone who wants a beautiful night out with delicious food.

Food was delicious and the service was superb!

Made a reservation to meet with a friend over dinner. We were shown the table and ordered shortly, I got the mushroom risotto with shrimp and that was a disappointment!! Even before we finished our food, the server comes saying we need you to finish eating and leave as we have other people waiting. This is rude and really unacceptable as we had less than 30 minutes from the time the food was served to when we ordered the dessert and we actually had to leave without even finishing our dessert as we felt humiliated. Please do not be in the service industry if you cant serve

Delicious Italian food with a wonderful staff ready to make your night special. Everything is good can’t go wrong.

LOVE this place. One of the few consistently great restaurants near Lawrenceville and better than most in Princeton. This week, had dinner delivered and it was fantastic. Especially love the risotto!

Parking isn't greatest during lunch.But food there is great and wait staff is good.

The menu items are well-thought-out to give you unique, flavorful plates, and the execution of the food is excellent. I love their pasta dishes, and the fish I get there is also excellent.

Good service. Salads were elegant, they did have gluten free pasta. Not the best choice for vegetarians though.

Amazing as always. The short rib special inclusive of Sal's unrivaled mushroom risotto was superb! And his reduction sauces always puts his cuisine over the top!

Very disappointed, veal was overcooked and tough. Ordered marsala, when waitress asked how my first bite was I told her it was not very good, she offered to bring something else but I didn't want to wait, told her I would give it another try. I took another bite but could not eat it. Did not see the waitress again for 20-30 minutes, I was going to ask for something else but I guess you only get one chance. Never asked about the meal again, manager did not come to see me until I had left without leaving a tip, which I have NEVER done before, I was outside and he chased me down, pathetic. I was not offered to be compensated for the meal. Will never eat there again.

We had a wonderful dinner with many choices, including gluten free! The only downside was the family that shows to bring their two year old child into the small restaurant and proceeded to try and shush him and quiet him so they could carry on their conversation and not give him any attention. It was very distracting and we had a hard time having a conversation between ourselves, the five of us that were there celebrating a birthday.

Always amazing food and great atmosphere. We sat in their outdoor seating. I was nervous because we were experiencing scattered showers all day. But their outdoor seating has a covering with hanging lights. So our group date had a very romantic setting that evening!

The food and staff are wonderful everytime. Its a cozy atmosphere that is inviting. I look foward to bringing my friends and family.

My girlfriend took me to Vidalia for my birthday. It was wonderful. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. Definitely a place to go for a special occasion. Thank you girlfriend

Took my wife for our 14th wedding anniversary and our food along with the service was amazing!!! When we walked in they greeted us with a happy anniversary, and even put it on our dessert plate without me asking for it. We can not wait to go back!

And it's BYOB, so you can bring your favorite beverage to enjoy a fabulous meal!

Delicious food, good service, courteous staff. Tried it today after booking a table for 8; staff was very professional to handle the booking and suggested options if we wanted to come early.Food was really good - we tried 1 chef special and few other stuff from the menu. They ran out of garlic bread though, but otherwise our order was taken promptly and served well.They could have sent a chef to guide us about the options we could order considering we had 4 kids with us.Overall a great experience.

Visiting here on a Sunday night celebrating our anniversary. We shared the Vidalia loaf, which is more than enough for two people and it was very tasty. My wife enjoyed Veal Parmesan with pasta, while I enjoyed Mamma Josephine's home made meat lasagna, that was awesome! Desert was a cannoli and cream brulee, both were yummy. Staff members were attentive, helpful and friendly. We will definitely return to this neighborhood restaurant very soon, I've already have it on my calendar. Parking was easy, as there is a lot behind the restaurant.

The Barramundi was delicious, first time I’ve have it outside of Australia- what a clever idea and so moist and fresh—just 15,000 mikes from The Kimberly in Western Australia.yummmm!!

A quaint Italian place. Very small, but cozy and romantic. If you go in the spring/summer, they have outdoor seating with lighting and music. Very good place for a date night. Excellent food. A little pricy, but worth it. Would highly recommend!

The service was spotty my iced tea kept going empty and not getting refilled for a long time there was no steak on the menu I ordered something called a half chicken and it was only a leg and a thigh. Do not recommend.

I love this place! The food is awesome! You must try the veal it is out of this world. Everyone who works there is friendly and helpful. Even when there are large parties, they take the time to make you feel special as if you were their only guest, without constantly interrupting your meal. I feel like I should tip them for more than what my bill totals. I simply cannot say enough about my entire experience at Vidalia.

Nice place, good Italian food. Most in our group loved their dishes. I had the veal marsala, the veal was a little chewy. I should have gotten the chicken. The "Vidalia loaf" had mostly mushrooms, not onions. The short ribs dish was $42, a bit pricey, but the person who had it enjoyed it.

Let's start with the food, amazing. I dinned outside, and the atmosphere was charming for a nice July day. Definitely a sure bet for anyone looking for a nice meal, or deciding on places to eat. I recommend them.
